Happy St. Patrick's Day - A Few Things You Didn't Know About Ireland

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

1. You probably thought Ireland drinks the most Guiness...wrong! The U.K. is first and Ireland is third.

2. The harp is the official emblem of Ireland - NOT the shamrock

3.
Technically, it is an offense to be drunk in Ireland; however, the law is not enforced.

4. Genuine Irish Pubs often refuse to serve Irish car bombs (a shot made with Guiness, Irish Cream and Whiskey - DON'T TRY THEM UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED!) because the drink references the terrorist car bombings by the Provisional Irish Republican Army.

5. Only 2 members of U2 were born in Ireland

6. In the summer of 2007, it rained in Ireland for 40 days straight. (I might reconsider ever visiting if they receive that much rain!)

7. Do you know what the shamrock represents? The cross and blessed trinity
