Welcome to the Hamilton County GOP Blog

Greetings! Thank you for making me your chairman. I'm honored to serve our party and to lead us during this important election year and beyond.

The Republican Party has created this blog to disseminate information about the events that are happening at Republican Headquarters and to allow for the discussion of issues that affect all Republicans. To the extent that time allows, I will regularly post to this blog and let readers know about what we're doing to further our cause and to give you a chance to provide respectful commentary about issues that affect our party. Please check back often!

I hope things are different with you as the Party Chair. I have heard very good things about you and hope you can turn things around for Hamilton County. I have become very disallusioned with the Hamitlon County Republican Party. Deals that are made behind the backs of voters are not what we want our Party leaders to do. Primaries are for the interested candidates to run...let us choose from amoung them and then have the Party endorse and support. Don't tell me who "you" want to vote for in a Primary and threaten any others who dare run against them. I was involved with a candidate that ran in a Primary with 2 other individuals...no one was endorsed ahead of time (which is how it should be) and he happened to win the Primary serve 4 terms in the House and is in his last term in the Senate. What if he was not the "chosen" one by the Party in his Primary? We would have lost out on a very good person. I don't care if this is posted. My comments are to you as the Party Chair. Please stop the closed door deals and let the voters vote!

I agree with kapplegate. We need to be more unified in Hamilton County. The voters are feeling like all political people are disconnected from the rest. Politicians must not forget where their support and power come from - the people. All peoples rich and poor. More people then ever are voicing their opinions in the ballot box. More and more they are upset with the have and have not attitude.
All I can say is get into the trenches with the "little guy" and make them feel needed and respected. The first party in Hamilton County to make the average voter feel good will win elections for a long time to come.
Change is a foot and we must move with this change or we will parish.

So when's the first day of RINO season? And what's the bag limit?

We desperately need to reduce the RINO population in order to preserve our habitat of individual liberty.

I agree with all the above comments. The party should focus on electing Republicans, not selecting them. All it does is divide us, and promote the (accurate) feeling among the losing candidates that the game was rigged against them.

We need to get out of the primary endorsement business and let the voters decide these issues themselves!
